Some of the people that inspire me have names, they are female, male, they are tall, not so tall, thin, large, gray haired, blonde, brunette, they speak with a language that crosses over ethnic and cultural boundaries, they speak the language of servanthood leadership. Other people that inspire me belong in certain compartments in my life and speak a specific word and a select few that inspire me pass through all compartments and description of life and fill every fiber of who I am without (many times) speaking a single word.
I am inspired by someone following their passion without regard of compensation or payment, but when you follow your heart, somehow all the rest falls inline.
I am inspired by integrity, doing the right thing even when it cost you.
I am inspired by someone offering a kind word when a harsh word would be easier and the expected response.
I am inspired when someone looks me straight in the eyes during a conversation, not looking past me for a better conversation.
I am inspired when I receive unexpected kindness.
I am inspired by patience, when honking the horn would be the easy default.
I am inspired by someone taking the time to explain one more time, until I really get it.
I am inspired by forgiveness, LORD knows I need it.
I am inspired by stealth generosity.
I am inspired when I see these virtues in others; it makes me want to be a better person.
