Ponder this question:
What is the Crown that you work so diligently for?
When your physical beauty is fleeting and your body doesn't work without the aches and pains of aging, when you look to the fall and winter of your life, where is your lasting beauty? May I encourage you to let your life reflect a humble attitude and a gracious heart for all the blessings God has poured upon us and rejoice in Christ your Savior? That, my dear follower of Christ, is real beauty. The kind that does not fade! And for my time here on earth and I hope it is a long time, is the best and highest use of my life, for sure. Why would I invest my time and my life into something that has no lasting value? That would be like putting your money into a safe and then burying the safe in a sinkhole.
Lord the greatest desire above all else is that you would find me faithful to what you have called me to do, and at the awakening of my spirit into my eternal resting home, is that you would be able to say to me, "well done, my good and faithful servant… Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:21)
May you have the most wonderful 4th of July ever.
Peace, Grace and Mercy to you
Chilon
